On 31.3.2026 (Tuesday), the XVI GENERAL ASSEMBLY of the Engineering Institution of Macedonia (IMI) was held at the Holiday Inn Hotel.
This event marked 106 years since the founding of the first Macedonian association of engineers.
In addition to the addresses of the President of the Engineering Institution, Dr. Andrej Lepavcov, the video address of the Secretary General of Engineers Europe, Dirck Bochar, the address of the Minister of Energy, Mining and Mineral Resources, Sanja Božinovska, the event was enriched with a panel discussion on the topic of “Smart Renaissance” which was discussed by five experts from different fields.
Two awards were also awarded, with the Association of Architects of Macedonia receiving the award for the most active association in IMI out of a total of 18 associations that are members of it. The award was received by the President of AAM Valentino Konstantinovski, and some of the members of the Board of Directors were also present at the event.
The “Young Engineer of the Year” award went to Todor Sanev, and the event was concluded with a cocktail party.
